What is your favorite Manhattan neighborhood? Why?
Gramercy Park & Murray Hill are both my favorite neighborhoods for many reasons. The number one reason would have to be the easy access to all the other wonderful neighborhoods.
A quick walk, subway or cab ride will bring you to Flatiron, Greenwich Village or Soho to name a few.
Gramercy and Murray Hill have some of the most beautiful houses and tree lined blocks in the City, not to mention the views of the City's landmark buildings such as The Chrysler Building--my favorite. There are restaurants within walking distance and we have some of the friendliest doormen. In short, it's a real community.
Why did you choose to pursue a career as a New York real estate professional? What is your favorite part of the job?
The real estate business came naturally to me from an early age working in Connecticut where I grew up.
When I moved to New York, finding a home became my job and once again I found myself wanting to help people do the same and work through what can be a daunting and stressful process.
I truly enjoy working with my clients and finding solutions to the obstacles that sometime come with the territory of buying and selling property. Putting my client's mind at ease that everything will work out and finalizing the sale is my reward.
What is your greatest motivator?
The bigger the challenge, the more I am motivated to exceed my client's expectations. Many times a client is limited on time. They have to find a moment they can leave work to view a property, or find time to complete the paperwork throughout the process. This is where I am pleased I'm able to offer my expertise and services in making the process easy and stress-free.
What are your greatest passions?
Food, family, animals and the environment. Not in that particular order, but going out to a fabulous restaurant, especially with family, is one of my favorite things to do in NYC.
I love all animals but have a special place in my heart for horses. The first time I took riding seriously was in 1998 at Claremont Riding Academy on West 89th Street.
To me, the environment and animals go hand in hand. You cannot care about one without the other. I feel responsible to do my part in trying to be as "green" as possible.
If you could invite anyone to a dinner party, whom would you invite?
All of my friends and family.
If you only had one day left in NYC, how would you spend it?
Eating at one of the City's finest restaurants. Maialino in the Gramercy Hotel is my current favorite.
