Unless you do not have a primary care physician, it is usually a mistake to have your lawyer send you to a particular doctor or chiropractor.  If your case goes to trial, the defense attorney will ask you how you chose that doctor as your treating physician.  When you reply that your attorney sent you, the jury believes that your attorney and doctor are in a cozy relationship and the doctor will exaggerate your injuries.  The jury will likely discount the opinions of that doctor or chiropractor for that reason.

When you follow regular channels and see your own doctor, this seems reasonable to the jury.  Also your primary care physician would know if you had similar complaints before and is in a better position to know whether your injuries and treatment are indeed the result of the motor vehicle crash.  However, when you do not have a doctor and you need immediate medical treatment, a well-qualified personal injury attorney like the ones at Miraldi & Barrett can provide several recommendations from which you can choose a medical provider.
