MERIDEN- Robert Zygmunt Kalinowski, Jr., 39, died unexpectantly on Monday, November 20, 2017. He was born on a US Navy base in Keflavik, Iceland to Robert Z. Kalinowski and the late Sharon (Davis) Kalinowski.

Robert graduated from toll Gate High School in Warwick, RI and he dedicated his life working with the developmentally disabled. He was a program director for Community Residences, Inc. and was a mentor to special needs children. Robert loved and spoiled, Finnigan and Gracie, his four legged children.

Robert sadly leaves his father Robert Z. Kalinowski  and his fiancé Becky Parker of Spring Hill, FL; his sister Robyn Brule and her husband Randy of Colchester; his nieces Taryn, Carsyn and Kailyn and his partner Terrence Spencer. He was predeceased by mother Sharon Kalinowski.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 26, 2017 from 2-4 at Belmont Funeral Home, 144 So Main St. Colchester, with a memorial service at 4pm. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Robert Kalinowski Jr. Fund c/o Community Residences Inc. 50 Rockwell Rd. Newington, CT 06111. Please visit to send condolences to the family
