New York City’s own Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC), accredited Berk Trade & Business School is offering potential students the opportunity to enter the electrical or plumbing industries in just eight months. The trade and business school is now featuring two programs with their standard flexible class times, credits towards licensing, short programs, job placement, and financial aid for those who qualify. Get a jump on your technical education and an edge in the plumbing and electrical trades this year with an essential new skill set!

The first program being offered at the technical institute is the “Electrical Installation Program.” This 30-week program will familiarize students with the principles of residential and commercial electrical trade. All instruction will include class and lab instruction, basic theory, math skills, and eventually wiring and installation. Berk’s hands-on training puts its graduates in a position to qualify as an entry level licensed electrician’s apprentice in eight months.

The “Comprehensive Plumbing Program” provides a similarly in-depth education tailored to the plumbing industry. Students will learn all phases of the plumbing field including, for example, repairs, remodels, and construction in commercial and/or residential settings. Students will learn to read blueprints and commercial drawings, handle a variety of tools, as well as install and connect pipes and fittings. Berk’s comprehensive classes impart technical understanding, reasoning ability, and problem solving skills they have deemed essential to the trade. The completion of this program also qualifies its graduates for apprenticeship under a licensed plumber in any and all areas of the industry.

Grownups and young adults looking for the next step in their technical or trade education have an incredible resource in Berk Trade & Business School. Check out admissions materials on their website or call (718) 729-0909 for more information.
