Since the mid-80s, Martin Brothers Wine & Spirits has been servicing the Upper West Side of New York City. Brothers Orlirio and Roberto Martin first opened up a specialty Latin cuisine market before turning it into wine store just 15 years later.
After the passing of the Martin brothers, the daughter of Orlirio took over the company as CEO. Elizabeth Martin has maintained the Upper West Side wine and spirits shop with pride and care since 2012, paying homage to her father and uncle’s vision.
After receiving a Master’s Degree in Community Health Administration from LIU Brooklyn, Martin won a number of different sales awards including Representative of the Year for Bayer and Schering Pharmaceuticals. Once her father grew ill, Martin promised that she would continue Orlirio’s legacy and keep Martin Brothers Wine & Spirits a staple of the local community.
With her new role, Martin graduated from the International Wine Center and Sommelier Society of America, becoming passionate about all things wine and spirits.
The shop is stocked with a wide array of wines, bourbons, scotches, and other liquors, making it both diverse and practical. Shopping at Martin Brothers Wine & Spirits is always a great experience because Martin and her staff are always friendly and knowledgeable about all of their products.
Whether you are shopping for a celebratory champagne or single malt scotch, the experienced staff can point you in the right direction. In a way that would make her father proud, Martin is constantly bettering the business and continues to be the best shop for wine and spirits in the area.
