Prior to going to Medical school, Dr. DeSilva attended Oklahoma State University and obtained his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. He then attended St. George’s University School of Medicine and graduated with Honors. He completed his residency training at Yale affiliated Norwalk Hospital in Internal Medicine. 

He has a special interest in palliative care and is the medical director for Constellation Hospice program.

He is also Certified Medical Director from the Society for Post-Acute and Long-Term care medicine and is the Medical Director of a number of area skilled-nursing facilities. 

In addition, Dr. DeSilva is an assistant clinical professor of medicine at Quinnipiac University School of Medicine. 

His hospital affiliations include Milford Hospital and Yale hospital Systems. Currently his practice is in Hamden CT and he resides in Woodbridge. He is married and has two children.
