Receipts and tracking numbers from the United States Postal Service are acceptable evidence, but individuals who do not have proof can submit a letter from the USPS. If you lost your receipt or did not receive one, contact the postal service, which will review your case and provide documentation, if necessary.

USCIS has also discovered other applications arrived at the proper location before the deadline but were not processed in time. In these cases, USCIS will contact the affected applicants and ask them to resubmit their requests.
