When you’re an adult, your Halloween fun doesn’t have to be limited to candy and costumes—you can also scare up a good time with Halloween cocktails! It only takes a few ingredients and creativity to make a beverage that goes bump in the night, so swing by your local liquor store tonight and experiment with these spooky recipes.

3 Must-Try Halloween Cocktails

liquor store1. Sweet Poison

If you want to add a tropical touch to your terror, the Sweet Poison cocktail will deliver an eye-catching glass of flavor. Originating from the Jekyll and Hyde Club—New York’s premier haunted bar—this drink blends together island fruit flavor with a smooth rum finish. To make it, you’ll need:

  • Ice
  • Pineapple juice
  • 1 ounce of light rum
  • 2 ounces of coconut rum
  • 1 ounce of Blue Curaçao® (for that ghostly blue look)

Try the Palo Viejo® Light Rum for a sweeter profile, or the Sugar Island® Coconut Rum, which is all-natural. To blend the drink, shake alcohol, liqueur, and ice. Then, pour into a glass and top it off with the pineapple juice.

2. El Diablo

Both the name and grisly appearance of El Diablo make this classic tequila cocktail a perfect choice for Halloween celebrations. Here’s what you’ll need to pick up to put a little devil in your drink:

  • Ice
  • 0.5 ounce of lime juice
  • 0.5 ounce of crème de cassis
  • 1.5 ounces of reposado tequila
  • 6 ounces of ginger beer

For an El Diablo with an elegant edge, cocktail connoisseurs might want to try mixing in the highly rated Don Julio® tequila with subtle dark chocolate, vanilla, and cinnamon notes. When you’re ready to mix the drink, shake together the ice, lime juice, tequila, and crème de cassis and strain over ice in a Collins glass. Fill the rest of the glass with ginger beer.

3. Blood Punch Bellini

If you want to sip on a cocktail that borrows from the wine family, the Blood Punch Bellini is a perfect way to fill your glass. To make this autumnal drink, drop by a liquor store for the following:

  • 1 ounce of white peach puree (purchase premade or prepare at home using this New York Times recipe).
  • 4 ounces of Prosecco
  • 0.5 ounce of Campari®
  • 0.5 ounce of grenadine

Combine these ingredients in a champagne flute and serve cold.
