If you’re considering becoming an electrician, the Electrical Installation program at Berk Trade & Business School will provide you with all the necessary tools you need to find success in the field. The technical institute has been providing adult education courses in the electrical and plumbing areas since 1940. The 600 hour electrical program begins on August 18th and lasts for 7.5 months.

Once you complete all courses, you’ll become eligible for a variety of career opportunities. The Electrical Installation program will teach you all the basic skills for success, as you’ll essentially learn how to wire a building from the ground up. In all sections of the program, students receive classroom and lab instruction related to the specific subject at hand.

The program starts with math skills and basic theory in order to lay the groundwork for the course. After this has been completed, you will learn how to design, wire, and install numerous electrical applications in residential and commercial settings. When you graduate from the program, you will qualify as an entry level electrical apprentice who can work in a variety of areas under the supervision of a licensed electrician.

All degrees from the trade school are recognized by the MTA as a licensing jurisdiction equivalent to two years of field experience. All courses involve 75% hands-on training, as well as job placement upon graduation. If a career in the electrical field peaks your interest, Berk Trade & Business School will provide you with the tools necessary to succeed. Visit the school online for more information on the program.
