bills is one of Honolulu’s newest restaurants. It is owned by Bill Granger, an internationally acclaimed Australian chef and restaurateur. The Waikiki location opened in April 2014, 20 years after Granger launched his first restaurant in Sydney, Australia. Since then, Granger has opened restaurants all over the world, including four in Japan. He remains true to his Australian roots and a culinary focus which emphasizes a relaxed style and fresh locally-sourced ingredients.

bills in Waikiki is a two floor establishment with a downstairs café and restaurant style dining upstairs. The two areas have a different menu, each characterized by vast skylights, natural wood paneling, beautiful high ceilings, and a genuine open-air concept. Granger was inspired by the tropical produce and fusion of Vietnamese, Japanese, and indigenous cuisines with a menu that includes delicious classics, healthy pizzas, and local classics with a twist.

One of the most popular dishes is a bills classic. The sweet corn fritters with roasted tomatoes, spinach, bacon, and avocado salsa are featured on the menu all day for diners to enjoy morning, noon, and night. Whether you’re looking to sip on a raspberry frappe after a morning swim or an indulgent evening filled with mojitos and chili linguine, Honolulu’s newest Australian restaurant has it all.
