Bonchon Chicken is America’s gateway to mom-and-pop fried Korean chicken. After years of hands-on experience both eating and cooking Korean cuisine, Jinduk Seh, the founder of Bonchon and mastermind behind their fried chicken recipe, decided to bring his country’s favorite food to the world. He created Bonchon, the Korean word for “my hometown,” launching a restaurant empire that is responsible for a delicious, new, and exciting kind of chicken!

After opening several locations in the tri-state area, Bonchon opened a Korean fried chicken restaurant in New York City in 2007. The restaurant has seen great success, due to a growing reputation as indisputably one of the best lunch and dinner spots in local communities all over the country. Bonchon makes Korean fried chicken in 30 locations across the United States, as well as 70 locations overseas in places like Brunei, Indonesia, Philippines, and Thailand.

Bonchon Chicken is Korean comfort food. Every plate is cooked-to-order, made with the highest quality ingredients. Each piece of fried chicken is hand brushed with savory, secret sauces. Soy and garlic are essential seasonings in Korean cooking, used as commonly as Americans use salt and pepper to enhance the flavor of their favorite dishes. The spicy sauce is made with fiery red chili peppers, creating an intense and unique heat that is only quelled by a complimentary side of digestion-aiding Daikon radish.
